ANDERSON - Greyson Cruz Dyches, infant son of Gary and April Dyches, of 670 New Hope Road, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013. 

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Christian Dyches and Colton Yates; three sisters, Kaleigh, Gracie, and Graylan Dyches; grandparents, Frankie and Rita Dyches; Jackie and Kim Holmes; and Randy and Trish Arnold; great grandparents, Clyde and Vernie Patterson; Hazel Burdette; and Rosevelt Dyches.

He was preceded in death by great grandparents, M.O. and Maybell Holmes and Helen Dyches. 

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at New Silver Brook Cemetery.

DORIS ARFLIN

June 4, 1923 – August 19, 2013

Doris Lee Ransom Arflin, age 90, of 3212 Keys Street, entered into eternal rest upon her death on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Twin City Nursing Home in Twin City, GA.  Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Joe Ransom and the late Roxie Pilgrim Ransom.  Mrs. Arflin retired after 31 years of employment from the Owens-Corning Fiberglass Company.  She enjoyed leisure time playing bingo with family and friends. 

Survivors include her son, Calvin Arflin and wife, Sandy, of Elkton, MD; 2 daughters, Lynda A. Franklin and husband, Charles, of Anderson, and Vickie Brown and husband, James, of Anderson;  3 sisters, Willie Ruth Fleming of Hartwell, GA, Brenda Reid and husband, Tom, of Pendleton, and Jimmie Sue Manley of Anderson;  6 grandchildren, Tina Franklin, Randy Franklin, Karen Arflin, Billy Brown, Dale Brown and Lynn Starks;  also surviving are a number of great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, the late John Fairest Arflin;  a son, John F. Arflin, Jr.; 1 sister, Louise Stone; 2 brothers, Bobby Ransom and Raymond Ransom;  grandchildren, Tony Franklin, Doug Franklin, Debbie Arflin and Johnny Arflin.

A Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Doris Arflin will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 2 PM, with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.  Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will be at the home of Lynda and Charles Franklin, 3504 Catawba Avenue, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM.

William Burnett

ANDERSON- Mr. William Burnett, of 173 LifeStyle Lane, died Wednesday August 21, 2013 at his residence. 

Born in Greenwood, SC he was the son of the late Bill and Lucille Owens Burnett. He was retired Colonel in the US AirForce and was a fighter pilot. He served during World War II, Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of Maryland.

Surviving are his wife, Edith West Burnett of the home, daughter, Beth Treaster and husband, Fred of Honea Path, two grandchildren, Brian and Brandon Fulmer and sister, Mrs. Iris Bailey. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday August 26, 2013 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery conducted by Dr. Fred Treaster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Ct., Duncan, SC 29334.

ROSA LEE FREEMAN

October 15, 1936 – August 20, 2013

ANDERSON, SC - Rosa Lee Freeman, age 76, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House. 

Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Silas Wells and the late Bertha Feltman Wells.  She was currently employed with Orian Rugs as a seamstress with 22 years of service.  

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Freeman; three sons, Craig Freeman of Anderson, SC and Phillip Freeman and his wife Teresa of Simpsonville, SC and Brian Freeman of Anderson, SC; a sister, Katherine Lewis; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters. 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 3:30 PM with Reverend Doug Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.

CARRIE L. GLENN

February 12, 1920 – August 23, 2013

ANDERSON, SC - Carrie Lee Glenn, age 93, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at National Health Care of Anderson.

Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Allen Grant and the late Thelma Sheriff Grant.  She was formerly employed with LaFrance Industries, but retired after many years of service from Milliken.  She was a current member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and was formerly a member of First Baptist Church in LaFrance where she taught the Girls Junior High Class.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Glenn Turner and her husband Wade D. Turner; two grandchildren, Lori Alexander and her husband Steve and Jeffrey Turner; four great-grandchildren, Grant and Gracie Alexander and Will and Jake Turner; and three brothers, Jim, Tommy and Ray Grant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Glenn; a daughter, Harriett Eloise Glenn; three brothers and five sisters.

The Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Glenn Taylor officiating. 

The family will be at the home of her daughter, 100 Welcome Lane, Pendleton, SC, 29670.

W. Gerald Welborn

Long-time Anderson businessman Wesley Gerald Welborn, Sr., 79, of 1604 North Boulevard, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence.

Born January 24, 1934 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Wesley Keys Welborn and Mamie GriffinWelborn Abernathy. He was a graduate of Anderson Boy's High School, attended The Citadel, and was a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. He served in the SC National Guard, retiring as a Major. Gerald was owner of Welborn Tire Service, dba Welborn Truck Service and was former owner of Kawasaki of Anderson. He was a member of the SC Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association, where he had served as President.

Gerald bred, trained, and showed Tennessee Walking Horses, served as a steward for the Tennessee Walking Horse Association and held several offices in the association. He loved basketball, played basketball in high school, coached girls basketball at St. John's United Methodist Church, and the Anderson YMCA. He also served as a basketball official in the SC High School League for several years. He was a member of IPTAY and enjoyed attending Clemson Football and basketball games. 

He was a Charter Member of the Electric City Sertoma Club and was currently a member of the Anderson Lions Club where he was Past President, District Governor, and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church where he had served on many committees and as an usher. 

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Georgia Lou Huff Welborn of the home; three sons, Wes Welborn and wife, Lisa; Reid Welborn and wife, Kristal; and Joey Welborn and wife, Tara; one daughter, Deedy Welborn Francis, all of Anderson; two stepsons, Jay Bannister and wife, Suzie and George Bannister; grandchildren, Jason Welborn and wife, Kelin of Cape Elizabeth, Maine: Zachary Welborn; Sara Welborn Crews and husband, Josh; Drew Welborn; Ivey Welborn; Austin Welborn; Anna Reid Welborn; Blakely Francis; Evan Francis; Lydia Francis; Turner, Caroline, and Hannah Welborn (children of David Welborn), all of Anderson; step grandchildren, Julian and Davis Bannister, Joseph and Spencer Bannister; great grandchildren, Amelia Welborn, Bryce Crews, Kaylin Crews, and two on the way; brother, John Welborn and wife, Peggy of Rome, GA; sister, Barbara Welborn Ellison and husband, Fred of St. Johns, FL; and his beloved poodle, Louie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Winnie Reid Newell Welborn, and two sons, Tim and David Welborn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Dan Batson and Pastor J. Chris Fischer. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors provided by the Campbell Patriots Honor Guard. The body will be at the residence, 1604 North Boulevard, after 2 p.m. Sunday where the family will receive friends.

MILDRED WEBER

MARCH 4, 1927 – AUGUST 17, 2013          

ANDERSON, SC - Mildred Wall Weber, age 86, born March 4, 1927 in Anderson. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nesbitt Wall.  She passed away on the 17th of August, 2013 at 3:05 pm.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Weber, their daughter Pamela Weber, a sister 

Dorothy Wall Hawkins, a brother Melton Wall, and two great grandchildren.  She graduated from Girl’s High (Anderson, SC) and then MUSC (Charleston, SC) with an RN in Nursing.  She worked as a nurse for many years, but her true profession was that of a devoted minister’s wife.

She also volunteered for the Literacy Association teaching adults to read where she utilized that opportunity to share her faith.  She was the president of the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and Sunday School teacher in every church they served.  She shared the love of missions with her husband,  Dr. Weber through service to the International Mission Board in Alaska, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Brazil. 

Surviving are her two daughters, Carol McCombs of Anderson, SC and Jolene Smith of Columbia, SC.  Mrs. Weber had three grandsons: Jonathan McCombs (Christina) of Columbus, OH, Mr. and Mrs. Laird Smith (Catherine) of Columbia, SC, and Mr. and Mrs. Jared McCombs (Mary) of Anderson, SC.  There are two great-grandsons.  Her brother, Melvin Wall (Wilma) of Anderson, SC.

The Service for Mrs. Weber will be at Forest Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 4:00 pm.  The service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Hawkins of Wilmington, NC, her nephew, and the Reverend Tom Owen, pastor.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at 2:30 pm before the service.

NORMA JEAN MOORE

MAY 4, 1939 – AUGUST 17, 2013 

ANDERSON, SC - Norma Jean Atkins Moore, age 74, wife of Marion Marvin Moore, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the AnMed Medical Health Center.

Born in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Norman Atkins and the late Cecile Mary Cargill Atkins.  She was a graduate of Pendleton High School in 1957,  where she played basketball, she also attended the   Anderson Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She later graduated from the  Wallace Community College in Dothan, AL, with a degree in Nursing.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for the Anderson Memorial Hospital for 20 years.  Mrs. Moore was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Marion Marvin Moore, of the home; daughter, Carol Shiflet and her husband, Steven; son, Steve Marvin Moore and his son, Austin Tyler, all of Anderson, SC; sisters, Betty Bennett and her husband, Ted of Anderson, SC, Peggy Fitzgerald and her husband, Hershel of Fort Mill, SC; brother, Billy Atkins and his wife, Judy of Pendleton, SC. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Atkins and a sister, Becky Philyaw.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Reverend Charlie Brookshire officiating.  The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until 12:00 pm before the service.

MARCELLE McADAMS WHITFIELD

TOWNVILLE - Annie Marcelle McAdams Whitfield, 86, formerly of Townville and Anderson, widow of Harold M. Whitfield, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. 

Born April 6, 1927 in Townville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Mable Alewine McAdams. She was a retired employee of Sangamo in West Union and was a member of Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery.

FRANK A. BENNETT

August 31, 1935 – August 13, 2013

ANDERSON, SC - Frank A. Bennett, age 77, of Anderson, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House. 

Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Harvey S. Bennett and the late Isabel Burgess Bennett.  Frank was a 1953 graduate of Central High in Charlotte, NC and a 1957 graduate of Wake Forest University. He proudly served his country as an officer in the United States Army Security Agency.  He retired as Director of Advertising and Business Promotions for Phillips Petroleum Company.  Frank was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He enjoyed caring for and watching wild birds and loved all nature in general. He was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church, and was a devoted member of the Good News Sunday School Class there. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara McCall Bennett, of the home; two sons, Frank Brian Bennett and his wife Teresa Willson Bennett, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Dan Wesley Bennett, of Anderson, SC; as well as many nephews and nieces he loved. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Bennett Lipsey; a brother, David Gerald Bennett; and an infant brother Harvey Bennett, Jr.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at New Prospect Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Smith and Reverend Tom Turner officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM

CAROLYN LANGSTON EATON

September 29, 1936 – August 10, 2013

Carolyn Elizabeth Langston Eaton, age 76, of Anderson, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 10, 2013, with her husband, Goetz, at her side.   Born in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alonza Smoot Langston and the late Carolyn White Langston.  

Carolyn grew up in Atlanta, GA, graduating from Southwest High School, and later graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur with a BS degree in Biology.  After graduating, she was employed by Emory University School of Dentistry in the Research Department.  She was a certified clinical counselor working for 25 years with the Anderson/Oconee Behavioral Health Services.  She was an active member of Midway Presbyterian Church, where she served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons, and was active in a number of church ministries including CAO.  She was an avid painter, gardener, angler, and NASCAR fan.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 56 years, Goetz Benedict Eaton, Sr., of the residence; 2 sons, Goetz B. Eaton, Jr. and partner, Dr. Ted Davis of Bedford, MA, Christopher Langston Eaton and his wife, Mary, of Royston, GA.; 1 daughter, Genie Weekley and her husband, John, of Charlotte, NC; 2 brothers, Smoot Langston and his wife, Martha of Bogart, GA, and Laurie Langston and his wife, Elaine, of Dahlonega, GA; 1 sister, Margianna Langston of Decatur, GA;  5 grandchildren, Elissa Eaton, Paul Eaton, Annemarie Weekley, John Weekley, Jr., and James Eaton.  Also surviving are her loving animal companions, Susie, Cody and Silvia. 

A service to celebrate and honor Carolyn’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 11 AM at the Midway Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. John McCallum and Rev. Mel Davis officiating.  Interment will follow at the Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at Midway Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.  A luncheon to celebrate her life will follow the committal in the church fellowship hall.

CARROLL WENDELL CHAMBERS

FEBRUARY 12, 1932 – AUGUST 11, 2013

ANDERSON, SC - Carroll Wendell Chambers, age 81, husband of the late Reba Sanders Chambers, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late George W. Chambers and the late Fannie Elizabeth Whitlock Chambers.  Mr. Chambers served during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army, from 1953-1955.  He worked for Haynesworth Mill for 36 years, and was a member of Belmont Church of God Prophecy.          

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Belmont Church of God Prophecy with Reverend Alan Rhodes, Larry Branyon and James Aderhold officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by Campbell Patriots Post 184.

The family will be home of his daughter  Dedra  Aderhold and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

GRACE CONWELL NEESE

July 26, 1931 – August 11, 2013

Annie Grace Conwell Neese, age 82, of Anderson, passed away at Rainey Hospice House on Sunday, August 11, 2013.  Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late John Paul Conwell and the late Annie Mae Hayes Conwell.  For 45 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Lucius Meredith Neese until his death in 2009.

Mrs. Neese was a home maker who was devoted to her family with a special love for her children and grandchildren.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards with her family, and loved to travel.

Survivors include a son, John M. Neese and his wife, Angela, of Charlotte, NC; a daughter Tina Stephens and her husband, Jason, of Anderson; 2 step-daughters, Karen Wilson and husband, Cliff, of Pawley’s Island, SC and Sandra Perkins and husband, Jeff, of Anderson;  2 grandchildren, Alexandra Hayne and Joshua Stephens.  Those who preceded Grace in death include her parents, her husband, Lucius, a daughter, Lisa Renee Neese, a brother, Charles Conwell and a sister, Pauline Metz.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Grace Conwell Neese will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 2 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM.

HASKELL SAMUEL STAMPS

JUNE 28, 1931 – AUGUST 9, 2013 

ANDERSON, SC - Haskell Samuel Stamps, age 82, husband of Pat Stamps, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at NHC of Anderson.

Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Lloyd Stamps and the late Lillie Evans Stamps. He graduated from Boys High and Carolina School of Commerce. He served during the Korean Conflict in the Army Special Forces Corp. from 1952-1954.  A man of great character he supported the Anderson community as the owner and operator of Stamps Plumbing and Heating for over 40 years; a life-time member of the Elk’s Lodge and the Moose Lodge, and member of New Hope United Methodist Church.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend. 

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Sam Stamps and his wife, Cindy of Greenville, SC, Tony Stamps and his wife, Barbara of Jacksonville, FL, Sharon Senn and her husband, Foster, of Newberry, SC, Bill Irvin, Jr. and his wife, Judy, Steven Irvin and his wife, Kelly, and Mike Irvin and his wife, Cean all of Easley, SC, brother, Gene Stamps, sister, Betty Kelly, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He survived two previous spouses, Geraldine Ivester Stamps and Nancy Whitmire Stamps; brother, Harold Stamps and a sister, Margie Brown. 

The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Reverend Joyce Murphy officiating. Entombment will follow.

Gurnam Kaur Dhaliwal, age 86, of 208 James Street, passed away at AnMed Health and Medical Center on Friday, August 9, 2013.  Born in Dhaliwal, India, she was the daughter of the late Deva Singh and the late Harnam Kaur.  She was the wife of the late Resham Singh until his death in 2004.

Survivors include a son, Mangal Singh Padda and his wife, Ravdeep, of Anderson; a daughter, Satwinder Kaur and her husband, Ranjit, of Anderson; 8 grandchildren, Jugjot Padda, Navjot Kaur, Victor Padda, Tanjit Padda, Jasvir Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Victoria Kathleen Singh, and Jason Singh; also surviving are 2 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Gurnam was preceded in death by 3 sons, Surinder Singh, Satnam Singh and Tarlock Singh; a brother, Darshan Singh and a sister, Gurbachan Kaur. 

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2013, from 12 noon until 2:00 PM.  Cremation will follow with a private family ceremony.

BELTON - Charles "Chuck" Edward McKinley, 62, of 918 Hwy 252, husband of Chris Moore McKinley, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at North Greenville Hospital in Travelers Rest.

Born October 22, 1950 in Belton, he was the son of Doy L. McKinley and the late Connie Shaw McKinley. He was an Electrical Technician and trainer for Foundry & Steel, Dietz Schell and Consolidated Southern Industries. Chuck was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church.  

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Dawn McKinley Galloway (Terrell), April McKinley all of Anderson, Ashley James (Tim) of Belton and Austin Fagg of Iva; 5 grandchildren, Victoria, Tyler, Darion, Makayla and B.J.; great granddaughter, Malaya; 2 brothers, Manley McKinley and Kevin McKinley (Annette) all of Anderson and a sister, Elaine McKinley Mitchell of Belton.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday at Neals Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Alex Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with military rites provided by the Campbell Patriots . The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8pm at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 Hwy 81 N. 

The family is at the residence.

MARY LEE WHITE GINN

November 30, 1920 – August 5, 2013

TOWNVILLE, SC - Mary Lee White Ginn, age 92, of Townville, SC, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA.

Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson White and the late Linda Watkins White.  Mary was the devoted wife of 70 years to the late Lisbon James Ginn. She was a loving mother, and grandmother, raising two of her granddaughters, Angela Ginn and Bessie Shurkus, in her home.  She was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed her rose bushes.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sons, Carl Ginn, of Anderson, SC and James “Pee Wee” Ginn, of Townville, SC; a daughter, Shelby Jean Ross, of Pendleton, SC; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two sons, Thomas Ginn and Douglas Ginn; a brother, John H. White; and a sister, Evelena Shiflet.

The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Mark Ginn officiating.  Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman, GA. 

The family will be at the home of her son, Pee Wee, 12949 West Oak Highway and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Cecilia Coyle

ANDERSON- Mrs. Cecilia "CC" H. Coyle, 91, fell peacefully asleep in the Lord at the Rainey Hospice House, Sunday August 4, 2013.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was one of six children of the late Alexander and Natalia Wieniecka Pawlak. Mrs. Coyle was a homemaker, talented craftsperson, and loving mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Carteret, NJ. Upon retirement, she moved to Toms River, NJ and then to Anderson.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Weigel of Walhalla and Kathleen Wrampe of Wilton, CT, and their husbands, Stephen Weigel and Peter Wrampe, as well as by her grandchildren, Claudette Watson and husband, David of Kenilworth, IL and Peter Wrampe and wife, Christine of Windham, NH and four great grandchildren, Alexander Watson, Christine Watson, Paul Wrampe and Nicholas Wrampe.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday August 9, 2013 at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 Hwy 81 North. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.  Interment will be held at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ.

FRANCES “FRANKIE” WHEELER

October 17, 1939 – August 5, 2013

After spending 73 years with family and friends and sharing her adventures and travels with everyone she knew along her journey, Frankie departed this world to begin her next journey through the universe to explore more adventures on Monday, August 5, 2013 upon her death at MUSC in Charleston.  She was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Monteen Wheeler. 

She is survived by a brother, Robert “Chig” Wheeler and his wife, Sue, and a sister, Jean Motes and her husband, Johnny “Big Brother.”  Frankie is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her extended and loved family in Norfolk, VA, where she resided for about 30 years. 

Frankie did not want to have any service or visitation; instead she wants everyone to just have a get together at a later time and share memories with their families of the time they spent with her.

Frankie requested that contributions in her memory be made to MUSC, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29425.

ALICE RAYNELL CASH

APRIL 27, 1937 – AUGUST 3, 2013

HARTWELL, GA - Alice Raynell Fredericks Land Cash, age 76, wife of the late Roy Cash, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living in Hartwell, GA. 

Born in Commerce, GA, she was the daughter of the late Coley Fredericks and the late Pearl Fredericks.  Mrs. Cash was retired from the Anderson Memorial Hospital, where she worked in Admissions.  After she retired, she went to work for Anderson County DSS as a transporter for children. 

She is survived by children, Kay Hergenroether and her husband Dan of Anderson, Jane Coleman and her husband Matt of TN, Sue Strickland and her husband Tim of Hartwell, Keith Land and his wife Victoria of Belton; brothers, Delano Fredericks and Joe Fredericks both of Anderson; one sister, Sarah Hightower of Anderson; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Brown.

The Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Harry Osborne officiating.  Interment will follow.  The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
