JULIAN CALLAHAM

Anderson, SC - Julian William Callaham, age 84, of 239 Middleton Shores Drive, Anderson, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
 
Born on December 12, 1924 in Oconee County, SC, Mr. Callaham was a graduate of Boys High School, Class of 1941. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He retired on October 1, 1978 from General Motors Corp. in Pontiac, MI. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the American Legion.
 
Mr. Callaham is predeceased by his parents, Ligon J. Callaham and Annie B. Whitfield Callaham; his wife, Clara Pingleton Callaham; and two brothers, Jack A. Callaham and James C. Callaham, Sr.
 
He is survived by a sister, Mildred C. White of Rochester, NY; five nieces, Kathi Gray and her husband Sonny of Iva, SC, Shirley Glenn and her husband Ronnie of Anderson, Renee’ Bryant and her husband Ronnie of Anderson, Jackie Simak and her husband Dick of Penfield, NY, and Julie Boyan of Rochester, NY; and three nephews, Ron Colbert and Jim Callaham, Jr., both of Anderson, and John Boyan of Rochester, NY.
 
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Steve Compton and the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.
 
The family will receive friends following the service.
 
The family will be at their respective homes.
