GENEVA H. ROWELL

JULY 25, 1911 – OCTOBER 15, 2009
 
GREENVILLE, SC – Geneva Hunter Rowell, age 98, of Greenville, SC, and formerly of Anderson, SC, widow of Samuel W. Rowell, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009.
 
She was the daughter of the late Samuel & Julia Robbins Hunter.  Mrs. Rowell retired from Orr-Lyons Mill and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Greenville. Survivors include her daughter, Betty R. Clark of Greenville, SC; her son, Donald H. Rowell of Ninety-Six, SC; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
 
She was also preceded in death by a son, Marvin L. Rowell; three sisters; one brother; and one great grandchild. The Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Joe Hinton. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Sunday. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the caring staff of Southerncare Hospice.
