AMANDA STORY
SIMPSONVILLE – Leila Amanda Story, 59, of 319 Chenoweth Drive, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born July 13, 1950 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late William Riley and Laura McCown Story. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Amanda was active in Breast Cancer awareness. She was an employee of BMW and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Moorhead of Simpsonville; a daughter, Samantha Moorhead of Simpsonville; one sister, Sue Story Brown of Aiken; and two brothers, J.C. “Bill” Story of Seneca and Fred M. Story of Glen Allen, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, conducted by Rev. Bob Jones. Burial will be in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence.
