EUGENE SHAW

October 15, 1933 – October 29, 2009
 
JONESVILLE, SC - Eugene “Gene” Willis Shaw, age 76, formerly of Anderson,  husband of Dorothy Powell Shaw died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Oakmont Nursing Home in Union, SC.
 
Born in Anderson, SC on October 15, 1933, Mr. Shaw was the son of the late Claude Shaw and Climmie Scarborough Shaw.  He retired from Equinox/Glenn Raven Mill with 45 years of service.  Upon retirement, he assisted his son in his wrecker business, Gary Shaw Wrecker Service in Anderson.  He was of the Church of God Faith.
 
Survivors include his wife, of the home; son, Gary Shaw and his wife, Christine of Jonesville and their son, Garyt Shaw. He was predeceased by a sister, Azalee Shaw Murray.
 
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, October 31, 2009, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with the funeral following in the Chapel at 2:30pm. officiated by the Reverend John Petty.  Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
