VERMELLE M. BOLT
ANDERSON – Vermelle McCoy Bolt, formerly of Stratford Drive, more recently of Summit Place of Anderson, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late A.L. and Ina Mae McCoy. She was a member of Anderson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her five children, Judy (Joel) Palmer of Anderson, Sandra Mosteller of Anderson, Paulla (Dean) Cunliffe of Mt. Pleasant, Paul (Malia) Bolt, Jr. of Gainesville, GA, and Deborah (Tom) Grosser of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Ina Mae Bolt of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Charles (Betty) McCoy of Honea Path; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth McCoy and Frank McCoy, and two sisters, Wilma Hillhouse and Alein McClain.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by her pastor, Dr. James R. Thomason. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
The family would also like to thank the staff and workers at Summit Place of Anderson and Hospice of the Upstate for their loving care to our mother.
