JOE B. DOBBINS

ANDERSON – Joe Brent Dobbins, 50, of 7325 Highway 187, husband of Barbara L. Dobbins, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at his residence.
Born May 15, 1959 in Anderson, he was the son of Jack Crayton and Elizabeth McClure Dobbins. He was a graduate of Tri County Technical College and was owner and operator of Lodges Greenhouses and Nursery.  He served on the Advisory Committees of the S.C. Jr. Simmental Association, the S.C. Jr. Beef Roundup, and the Pendleton High School Agriculture Department. Mr. Dobbins was a member of Bishop Branch Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; son, Jason W. Dobbins and wife, Patricia, of Pendleton; two daughters, Anna D. Barnette and husband, Anthony of Anderson, and Lindsey Dobbins of the home; two grandchildren, Emylee Blake Dobbins and Reign Joseph Hill Dobbins; parents, Jack and Elizabeth Dobbins of Townville; two brothers, Mac Dobbins and Tom Dobbins, and a sister, Jackie D. Barker, all of Townville.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Bishop Branch Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Dr. Luther Price and Rev. J.R. McClure. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence.
