Vernon Lee Roush

May 1, 1921 – July 12, 2010

ANDERSON, SC - Vernon Lee Roush, age 89, husband of the late Betty Jane Roush,  resided at his son’s home, 224 Providence Point, Anderson, SC.  Mr. Roush died Monday, July 12, 2010, at home. 

Born in Martinsburg, WV, on May 1, 1921, Mr. Roush was the only son of the late Charles and Ruth Roush. He and his late wife moved to Anderson in 1990 from Miami, FL. Mr. Roush was a war veteran serving in the Navy in both World War II and Korean War. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 25 years service. 

Mr. Roush is survived by his two sons, Rick and his wife, Lane Roush, Anderson, SC, and Andy and his wife, Debbie Roush, Easley, SC; two grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband, Jesse Hargrove, Easley, SC and Tiffany and her husband, Clinton Berry, Easley, SC; and niece, Valerie and her husband, Josh Dennison, Easley, SC; and four great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service Thursday, July15, 2010, at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Betty Murphy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
