DIANE LAMBERT KIMBELL

JANUARY 2, 1944 – JUNE 1, 2013

CLEMSON, SC - Diane Lambert Kimbell, wife of James A. Kimbell, Jr, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her residence.

Born in Little Rock, AR, and raised in Holly Grove, AR, she was the daughter of the late Walker Patterson Lambert and the late Willa Wayne Summerville Lambert.  While raising her sons,  Mrs. Kimbell was the Secretary to the Dean of Nursing at Clemson University.  She also taught computer science at James F. Byrnes Academy in Florence, SC for ten years.  She was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson where she served as an Elder.  Mrs. Kimbell was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University with an Associate of Arts Degree and a graduate of Frances Marion University with a Bachelor of General Studies. 

She is survived by her husband; sons, Jimmy Kimbell and his wife, Amy of Anderson,  and Jack Kimbell and his wife, Tina of Chesterfield, MO; sister, Patricia Snyder  of Dewitt, AR; five grandchildren, Lawing & Jackson Kimbell, and Dominic, Dalton and Daniel Hahn. 

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Kimbell will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, with Laura Conrad officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
