MARLENE MORGAN

March 13, 1939 – October 4, 2009
 
SENECA, SC - Marlene Hightower Morgan, age 70, of 320 Lightning Drive, and the wife of the late Arthur Morgan, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Oconee Medical Center in Seneca. Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Hightower and Mae McCalister Hightower.  She retired from textiles and attended Seneca Church of God of Prophecy.
 
She is survived by several step-children and step- grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Edmonds and her husband, Tony of Anderson, Evelyn McElhannon of West Union, and Martha Finley and her husband, Ronnie of Walhalla and brother-in-law, Bruce Holliday of Easley. A sister, Linda Holliday, and brothers, Donnie Wayne Hightower and Junior Hightower preceded her in death.
 
The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Wayne Hill, Michael Willis and Scott Owens.  Interment will follow in Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fair Play, SC.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be at the home of her sister, Ruth Edmonds, 604 Fairmont Road, Anderson.
