MIGNON RADA WELLS

ANDERSON – Mignon Rada Wells, 92, of Anderson, passed from this earth to her Heavenly Home on December 11, 2009.

She was born in Seneca on October 18, 1917 to Magnolia Young and John Burton Rada. She was a 1935 graduate of Anderson Girls High School. Mrs. Wells was married to her beloved husband, Henry William Wells, Sr. on November 13, 1935 until his death in 1995. She was also predeceased by her sister, Eunice Burris; brother, John B. Rada, Jr; granddaughter, Deborah Wells; and son-in-law, Al Barton.

She is survived by her children, Henry William (Bill) Wells, Jr.; Charles Gerald (Jerry) Wells (Gail); Jean Wells Barton; and Suzanne Wells Taylor (Mark). She is also survived by her brother, Marvin Rada, and sisters, Margie Harrison and Mary Carson Jones; seven grandchildren, Mandy, Keri, Marissa, Hillary, Sarah, Ben, and Donna; and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wells was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, Bible School, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and was an avid Bridge Club Member and golfer. She was a homemaker and later in life worked with her husband. She loved her family and was happiest when surrounded by them.

A funeral worship service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with The Rev. Chris Fischer and The Rev. Robert Wilde officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. Sunday in the church fellowship hall.  Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 Broad Street, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
