FRAZIER A. WILSON

MARTINEZ, GA – Frazier Asbury Wilson, 84, of 4522 Oakley Pirkle Road, formerly of Anderson, SC, husband of Frances L. Mauldin Wilson, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Augusta, GA.

Born August 26, 1925 in Iva, SC, he was the son of the late John Asbury and Gladys Lawton Wilson. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Command Sergeant Major, having served in World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Later, he was a Lieutenant at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Wilson; two sons, Tom Wilson of Burke, VA, and Ed Wilson of Rome, GA; six grandchildren, Holli Carpenter, Brian Wilson, Jordan Marchbanks, Zach Wilson, Jamie Marchbanks, and Linnea Wilson; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Delree W. Stamps and Delores W. Harbin, both of Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson, conducted by Dr. Dennis Tedder. Full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army. The family requests that flowers be omitted; memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
