PAT O’LAUGHLIN

April 4, 1941 – September 18, 2009
 
TOWNVILLE, SC - Gerwood Patrick O’Laughlin, age 68, husband of Sally J. Oliver O’Laughlin of 108 Mystic Cove Lane, Townville, died Friday, September 18, 2009.
 
Born in Baltimore, MD on April 4, 1941, Pat was the son of Lillian Hellman O’Laughlin of Bel Air, MD and the late Gerwood O’Laughlin.  He was a United States Air Force veteran having served in the Vietnam War.  He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering at Nova University in Davie, FL and attended John Hopkins University.  He was employed with Honeywell Corporation in West Palm Beach, FL for 28 years and upon moving to the Upstate, he was employed with Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company in Greenville.  Mr. O’Laughlin attended Boulevard Baptist Church.
 
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Michael P. O’Laughlin and his wife, Kristy of Easley and Christopher S. O’Laughlin and his wife, Tiffany of Denver, CO; daughter, Sandi J. May and her husband, Warren of Canton, GA; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Holly, Camden and Corah. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Scott O’Laughlin. 
 
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Dr. Jack Couch.  Interment will follow with Military Honors.  A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com
