MARK WILLIAMS

July 17, 1969 – September 2, 2009
 
FAIR PLAY, SC - Mark Douglas Williams, age 40, husband of Shirley “Lou Ann” Allred Williams of 107 Bass Drive, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Born in Xenia, Ohio on July 17, 1969, Mark was a son of Kenneth and Linda Williams.  He was a 1987 graduate of Westside High School and received an Associates Degree from Tri-County Technical College. He was employed with the family owned business, the Carolina Mold & Tool Company. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.  He was a guitarist and enjoyed writing his own songs.  He was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father.
 
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons, Luke and Matthew Williams of the home; brothers, Jeffrey Williams of Townville and Michael Williams of Anderson; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Carolyn Hammett Todd and Randall Todd; father-in-law, Jerry L. Allred, Sr.; grandparents, Geneva Williams of Townville and Rollin Prickett of Xenia, Ohio; nieces, Christian Williams, Kyndall Williams and Kamryn Williams and a nephew, Jackson Williams.
 
He was predeceased by grandfather, Woodrow Williams and grandmother, Gloria Prickett. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Pope Drive Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Mack Tester and Sam Duncan.  Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Mr. Williams will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm on Sunday. The family will be at the home of his parents, 101 Tiffany Drive, Anderson, SC.
