ADDIE CHAPMAN
ANDERSON - Addie Campbell Chapman, 100, formerly of Sheldon Drive, widow of Col. Rubert D. Chapman, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Mission, TX.
Born July 19, 1912 in Townville, she was the daughter of the late William Sterling and Josie Keasler Campbell. She was an avid and accomplished golfer, winning many local and state tournaments. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rubert D. Chapman, Jr. and wife, Jeannie of Fredericksburg, VA. and Raymond T. Chapman and his wife, Diana of Mission, TX; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Frank, J.D., Levi, Raymond, Ovander, Claude, and Sam Campbell and three sisters, Willie Johnson, Annie Morris, and Ruth Gravely.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Dan Batson.
