TOMMY JACKSON

ANDERSON – Thomas Pruitt Jackson, 79, of Autaugaville, AL., formerly of Avant Road, Anderson, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL.

Born May 19, 1930 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Thomas Wesley and Elizabeth Martin Jackson. He was retired from Clemson University, Physical Plant, and was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Anderson.

Survivors include his daughter, Lynn Winston and husband, Mike, of Autaugaville, AL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Montgomery and husband, Steve, Matthew Lovinggood, Emily Lovinggood, and Lexie Newcomb; two great grandchildren, Zachary Lovinggood and Jackson Montgomery; one sister, Laura Williamson and husband, Calvin, of Pendleton; and two brothers, Jimmy Jackson and wife, Betty of Pendleton, and Billy Jackson and wife, Annette of Easley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Walker Harris Jackson and a stepdaughter, Peggy Harris Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, conducted by Rev. Gene Burdette. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Friday at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson.
