Thomas Clayton Simmons
ANDERSON- Thomas Clayton Simmons, 71, of 902 Pine Cone Trail, husband of the late Sara Ann Connor Simmons, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at his residence.
Born November 9, 1938 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Rosey Bell Head Simmons. He was a retired machinist and was a member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Roger A. Simmons and his wife, Amy of Belton, grandson, Matthew Connor Simmons, sister, Rebecca Jane Spooner of Simpsonville, and brothers: Raymond Simmons of Anderson, Jim Simmons of Lauderhill, FL and Steve Simmons of Belton. He was preceded in death by a nephew, George Corbett Connor, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel with Revs. Art Fulks and Wayne Watson officiating. Burial will be in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 PM Saturday prior to the service. The family will be at the home of Roger and Amy Simmons, 308 Haynie Parkway, Belton.
